Sandfest was held July 8-13 on the dunes outside
of North Bend and Coos Bay, Oregon. WARN brought its 30' trailer and several vehicles
including its Kawasaki Teryx and Honda Foreman, two Ford Super Duty trucks, and a
Dodge Ram 3500.
The weather was cool and sunny, but the wind howled across the dunes making riding
goggles the accessory of choice. Regardless of the blowing sand, 3,000 sand-riding and
driving enthusiasts took to the dunes for some amazing riding in world-class terrain. The
WARN team was able to do a bit of riding, too. Our Kawasaki Teryx, with its WARN XT40,
WARN winch bumper, full WARN Body Armor, and WARN HID Lights, proved to be very
capable in the sand. The mighty Teryx even pulled out a pre-runner stuck in the sand!
There was plenty going on throughout the six-day event - from head-to-head racing and
exhibition riding by the Bomb Squad to a poker run, and, of course, the vendor area.
Speaking of vendors, someone was the lucky winner of a WARN ATV winch that we
donated to the Sandfest Auction.
