What is your favorite discontinued off-road vehicle?

How many times have you run across an off-road rig that's no longer produced and thought, "Man, those were too cool. It's too bad they still don't make those."

Maybe it's a Jeep Cherokee, a full-size Ford Bronco or Chevrolet Blazer; maybe a Suzuki Samurai or Sidekick, or an International Scout. How about on the powersports side? Remember the Honda ATC250R three wheeler? (I still see these at the dunes from time to time). Or how about some of the old-school quads from Suzuki, such as the QuadRacer 250 or original King Quad?

I was on ExpeditionPortal.com the other day and saw a thread about the Isuzu VehiCROSS, which was available in the U.S. from 1999-2001. These space-aged 4x4s were totally different and some might say ahead of their time. For instance, they came with monotube shocks with heat expansion chambers. I've always thought these rigs were cool, totally different, and they can be built up to be very capable, too. Heck, people even built race versions. Although I'll probably never own one, they're still one of my favorite 4x4s due to to the fact that even today, they look totally different.

IHC Scout, hands down. It's hard to picture them in the modern market, though. No engine chip? No three-point front belts? No latte dispenser? Scouts would definitely be a "niche-market" item today, or they'd have to be "upgraded" significantly. I'd almost rather see them consigned to history than wind up as just another Yuppiewagon.

I had an '85 Ford Bronco and for a full-sized rig, it was one of my favorite off-road vehicles. Short wheelbase and tons of power, with minor suspension upgrades, it became a beast!. If Ford brought the Bronco back, I'd be waiting in line for one...

I love the Jeep XJ (Cherokee) I have a 2000 model XJ and I LOVE it!! I wish they were still being made though, they where great trucks, defiantly better offroaders stock (2x4 and 4x4) than any jeep they produce now, other than the wranglers. Plus the aftermarket for them is huge!!

It has to be 250R 4 wheeler and a 350x 3 wheeler. I owned and raced both and they were better equipment in the eighties than you can buy now.
Either one fuel injected would be the baddest ever plus now the suspension and ergonomics would even be better.
I do miss a good ole cherokee too. In my opinion the cheapest way to go the furthest.

Early Bronco. I'd like to see very similar body lines with the EcoBoost or the new 5.0 and the modern conveniences.

I also really miss the Honda ATC-250SX. What a fun machine.

My god I still wish they made the cherokee. I have a picture of my local dealership with a lot full of em. 2001 was really the last year I had total respect for Jeep, The WJ, XJ and TJ was a truly great lineup. Atleast they made a whole bunch!

And the FSJ. I daily drive a 91 and it is truly the most luxuries 4X4 I have ever driven. I think Chryco could have slapped on a TBI system (like they did with the magnum V8's) and kept it in production for a few more years

Jeep needs to bring to the market a pickup again. Something lighter than the old fullsize ones but with the feel of a scrambler and the option of a diesel and crew cab like the old FC trucks with the three cylinder cerlist diesel. Could be very cool.

My favorite VEHICLE of all time 66-77 Bronco! Love those suv's, not to mention the only four wheel drive to ever win the Baja 1000 over all!

The AMC Jeep J Series truck or full size Cherokee with the 258 in line six and a lock out front hub type transfer case. such as the 208 or D 20, These vehicles get better fuel economy than some vehicles built today and have unbelievable off road performance.
