Vintage WARN Hubs advertisement

At our Milwaukie, Oregon facility, we've got a few vintage WARN goodies on display. One of them is an issue of Popular Mechanics magazine from 1959, in which Warn took out an ad for our 4WD hubs. Note the main selling point is to stop "front drive drag." The text is great, too: "... free-wheeling 2 w.d. (with added pep!)." You'll also note the Seattle mailing address, as the company hadn't moved down to Oregon yet.

I have been buying your hub assemblies since 1979, and for that very reason. Lockouts do reduce the drag and improve the fuel economy. I have installed on 17 vehicles over 30+ years. From Jeeps to pickups and SUV's of all breeds I have had them fitted with WARN hubs and WARN winches and a half dozen WARN winch friendly bumpers. Great products and I hope to be a loyal customer for another 30+ years!
