| Warn Industries Upgrades its ATV Winch Offering with the New 2.5ci Model
Warn 2.5ci winch raises the bar for features, performance and price in an ATV winch.
Clackamas, OR (February 10, 2003) Warn Industries,
which continues to deliver innovative products for the power sports market,
today announced the release of its 2,500lb capacity ATV winch. The new
WARN 2.5ci winch is a re-design of the popular A2000 model, with a price-performance
proposition that's hard to beat.
"The WARN 2.5ci combines our latest technology with the
best of the A2000," said John Vandecoevering, Director of ATV products
for Warn Industries. "The end result is a feature rich 2,500lb winch at
a 2,000lb base unit price."
The 2.5ci comes with a handlebar mounted mini-rocker switch
that uses a sealed industrial style contactor. This design provides for
greater amp draw and longer life than other mechanical switches. Its larger
6 gauge battery cables allow the .9hp motor to deliver the proper balance
of speed, torque and power in a more efficient manner.
A removable remote control (with 10' lead) is available
separately and can be added in minutes thanks to Warn's new Express InstallTM
wiring system. Express InstallTM is a new color-coded wiring system that
speeds the installation of electrical components, virtually eliminating
the chance of incorrectly wiring the controls.
The 2.5c also features a corrosion resistant aluminum drum
and Warn's unique cable retention system, which allows the user to change
the cable in the field without any tools. A hawse fairlead, hook with
safety latch, hook strap also come standard.
The 2.5ci is also available as a Multi-Mount Winch. The
Multi-Mount System allows you to use the winch in the front or the rear
of the ATV, or even move it from bike to bike. The system comes complete
with 2.5ci mounted to a Multi-Mount frame, 10' remote and Quick Connect
battery cables.
The 2.5ci comes with the new ATV Winch Techniques manual,
