Warn Industries and its Employees Donate $28,820 to Clackamas Children' Center
Clackamas, OR (1/20/11) - On January 19, 2011, Warn Industries and its employees presented a check
for $28,820 to Shauna Lugar, the Development Director of the Children's Center, located in Clackamas County. The money
will help fund the Center's building expansion. The Children's Center is a private, non-profit medical assessment center
that supports children and families in cases of suspected physical/sexual abuse, neglect, drug endangerment, or for those
who have been witnesses to violence.
Throughout 2010, Warn employees sponsored bake sales, chili cook-offs, pizza feeds, and other fundraisers to help the
Children's Center's building expansion project, which is set to open in March 2011. Warn Industries matched the
employee-raised contributions.
Warn Industries and its employees are actively involved in giving back to the local community through the Warn
Employee Community Impact Project (WECIP). Started in 2002, WECIP focuses on supporting three local charities
that assist women and children. The mission of WECIP's employee-based effort is "Making a Difference in the
Community". In 2010, over 5,000 volunteer hours were given to the local charities, as well as nearly $45,000 in the
annual donation drive.
