WARN Planetary Winches Now Available
On Jerr-Dan MPL 40 Wreckers
CLACKAMAS, Ore. (June 22, 2005) -
Warn Industries announced today that Jerr-Dan Corporation has engineered the
WARN Series 9 Industrial planetary gear winch into its new MPL 40 light duty wrecker.
"We are very excited to be working with Jerr-Dan and offering its customers our
Series 9 planetary gear winches," said Mike Dorman, general manager of Warn Industries'
Industrial Division. "Tow operators, when equipping their new MPL 40 trucks, can now
step up to planetary gear winches for optimum performance. This is the first endeavor
between Warn Industries and Jerr-Dan and we look forward to building on the relationship
going forward."
WARN Industrial winches feature planetary gear trains that deliver greater motor
efficiency and faster line speeds than any other type of gear train. Unlike worm style
gear trains, there are no oil leaks to clean up because WARN winch designs allow for
long-term lubrication with grease. All this translates into greater productivity, quieter
operation and lower maintenance for tow truck operators.
Additional performance details, such as heat treated gears, locking clutch levers, easy
wire rope attachment, and automatic disc brakes make WARN Industrial products the
top choice of tow operators around the world.
