Warn Introduces More Jeep Armor Products

Clackamas, OR (November 3, 2003) Warn Industries continues to address the extreme off-road needs of Jeep owners, today introducing options to protect lower body areas of the XJ Cherokee and the fuel tanks of TJ and YJ Wranglers.

The new Rock Sliders for the XJ Cherokee were specifically designed to protect the doorsills and other lower outer body weak points. Constructed of 2" OD .120 wall main tube steel and 1 1/4" OD X .120 wall tube steel for the secondary tube, these reinforcements are bar-style bolt-ons that allow the vehicle to slide over rocks and boulders without damaging the sills and under-door body areas. They attach directly to the sub-frame and are finished in a durable black powder coat.

With the new fuel tank skid plate, Warn gives TJ and YJ Wrangler owners' additional protection against damage in the most demanding off-road conditions. The precisely engineered plate is made of 3/16-inch steel, adds an extra inch of clearance over a stock setup and bolts onto the body using the factory attachment points. It has drain holes to minimize debris buildup and a tough black powder coat finish to resist rust.

The latest armor introductions round out Warn's "Extreme Jeep" family, which it is continuing to expand to meet rock crawling enthusiasts' growing needs and interests. The other available products are a differential skid plate for Dana 30, 35, 44 and 60 installations on Cherokees; steering box and oil pan skid plates for Wranglers and Wranglers TJs; rock sliders for CJs, TJs and YJs. There are also Rock Crawler front and rear bumpers for CJs, TJs and YJs; grille guard tubes for TJs; and oversize tire carriers for use with several rear bumpers.
